Here’s some more information about the course and what you can expect.

A practical two-day Step2Skills course introducing construction jobs, site rules, hazards and possible routes into the sector.

 

It is not a CSCS, CITB, regulated construction qualification or trade licence course.

You'll explore construction roles, basic site rules, common hazards, professional behaviours and possible training or card routes.

Through face-to-face discussions, site-induction activities, scenarios and practical classroom exercises.

 

You will not operate plant, power tools or carry out high-risk construction work.

There is no external CSCS or CITB exam.

 

Your tutor will assess the activities and scenarios you complete during the course.

Your progress and achievement will be recorded through ROMAN's Step2Skills Record of Achievement.

 

This does not give you a CSCS card, CITB test pass, regulated construction qualification or trade licence.

You'll plan a realistic next step based on the type of construction work that interests you.

 

This could include further training, an apprenticeship, college, trade training or another suitable construction route.
