Win the Interview is a practical two-day Step2Skills course designed to help you improve the skills you use when looking and applying for work.
You'll work on areas such as your CV, job applications, professional email, interview preparation and planning your next steps.
It is not a regulated qualification and it does not guarantee an interview or job.
You'll learn how to understand what an employer is looking for, identify your relevant skills, improve or create a targeted CV, use professional email and complete job applications.
You'll also practise interviews, receive feedback and work out practical actions for your next step.
The course is face-to-face and practical.
You can take part in CV activities, job-search tasks, professional email and application exercises, employer research, interview practice and discussions with your tutor.
Where sending a real job application is not suitable, a realistic practice version can be used instead.
There is no external qualification exam.
Your tutor will look at the work and activities you complete during the two days, including your CV work, professional email/application activity, interview practice and your next-step plan.
Course achievement is based on evidence of your progress, not simply attending the two days.
Your progress and achievement are recorded through ROMAN's Step2Skills Record of Achievement process.
This is not a regulated qualification certificate, licence or professional award.
You'll leave with a clear next-step plan based on your own situation.
That might include continuing your job search, applying for suitable vacancies, preparing for interviews, working with Jobcentre Plus or another employment-support service, or moving into further appropriate training.
The course does not guarantee an interview or job.
