Course Overview: This CPD-certified Emergency First Aid at Work refresher course is specifically tailored for Irish workplaces and individuals who have previously completed a practical one-day Emergency First Aid training. It provides a comprehensive annual refresher to keep knowledge current and skills sharp before formal recertification is required every three years. The course covers the essential first aid topics and emergency scenarios likely to be encountered in the workplace, from treating minor injuries to managing life-threatening conditions. It equips learners with the confidence to act quickly and appropriately — from assessing a situation and calling emergency services, to providing CPR, treating wounds, or responding to heart attacks, strokes, and diabetic emergencies.


Key Skills Gained:

  • Recognising life-threatening conditions and delivering safe, prompt assistance
  • Understanding the ABCDs of first aid, including the recovery position and barrier use
  • Performing CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) correctly
  • Treating injuries including bleeding, burns, sprains, breaks, and eye injuries
  • Managing incidents involving shock, choking, head and spinal trauma
  • Recognising symptoms and responding to anaphylaxis, diabetes, strokes, and heart attacks
