Current SIA requirements

Close protection refresher training became mandatory for licence renewals from 1 April 2026. Current SIA delivery guidance gives 2.5 to 4.5 days of in-person refresher training depending on permitted self-study, and requires an appropriate Level 3 or above first-aid qualification before the refresher course.
